English translation

4762. It was narrated that 'Arfajah said: "I heard the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ say: 'There will be various troubles and evil deeds among my Ummah. Whoever wants to divide the Muslims when they are united, strike him with the sword, no matter who he is.'" (Saḥīh)

Arabic text

4762 - حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلَاقَةَ، عَنْ عَرْفَجَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: «سَتَكُونُ فِي أُمَّتِي هَنَاتٌ، وَهَنَاتٌ، وَهَنَاتٌ، فَمَنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يُفَرِّقَ أَمْرَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَهُمْ جَمِيعٌ فَاضْرِبُوهُ بِالسَّيْفِ كَائِنًا مَنْ كَانَ»
