English translation

4817. It was narrated that Ibn Hujair Al-'Adawī said: "I heard 'Umar bin Al-Khaṭṭāb narrate this story (similar to no. 4815) from the Prophet ﷺ. He said: 'And help the one who is in urgent need, and guide the one who is lost.'" (Da'if)

Arabic text

4817 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عِيسَى النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، أَخْبَرَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ حُجَيْرٍ الْعَدَوِيِّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي هَذِهِ الْقِصَّةِ قَالَ «وَتُغِيثُوا الْمَلْهُوفَ وَتَهْدُوا الضَّالَّ»
