English translation

4867. It was narrated from Sa'eed bin Al-Musayyab that 'Umar bin Al-Khaṭṭāb and 'Uthmān bin 'Affān used to do that. (Saḥīḥ)

Arabic text

4867 - حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ، وَعُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ «كَانَا يَفْعَلَانِ ذَلِكَ»
