English translation
4950. It was narrated that Abū Wahb Al-Jushamī – who was a Companion of the Prophet ﷺ – said: "Call yourselves by the names of the Prophets. The most beloved of names to Allāh are 'Abdullāh and 'Abdur-Raḥmān, and the truest of names are Hārīth (earner) and Hammām (one who is always thinking of an action), and the most reprehensible names are Harb (war) and Murrah (bitter)."
