4986. It was narrated that 'Abdullāh bin Muḥammad bin Al-Hanafiyyah said: "My father and I went to an in-law of ours among the Anṣār, to visit him (as he was sick), and the time for prayer came. He said to one of his family: 'O young girl, bring me water for Wudū' so that I can pray and find comfort.' He said: 'We criticized him for that, and he said: "I heard the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ say: 'Get up, O Bilāl, and let us find comfort in prayer.''" (Ṣaḥīḥ)
4986 - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ ابْنِ الْحَنَفِيَّةِ، قَالَ: انْطَلَقْتُ أَنَا وَأَبِي، إِلَى صِهْرٍ لَنَا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ نَعُودُهُ فَحَضَرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَقَالَ لِبَعْضِ أَهْلِهِ: يَا جَارِيَةُ ائْتُونِي بِوَضُوءٍ لَعَلِّي أُصَلِّي فَأَسْتَرِيحَ، قَالَ: فَأَنْكَرْنَا ذَلِكَ عَلَيْهِ، فَقَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: «قُمْ يَا بِلَالُ فَأَرِحْنَا بِالصَّلَاةِ»
