Text and translation

English translation

5099. It was narrated from Al-Miqdām bin Shuraih, from his father, from 'Aishah, that when the Prophet ﷺ saw clouds forming on the horizon, he would stop what he was doing, even if he was praying, then he would say: "Allāhumma, innī a'ūdhu bika min sharīhā (O Allāh, I seek refuge with You from its evil)." And if it rained he would say: "Allāhumma sayyiban haniy'an (O Allāh, make it a beneficial downpour)." (Sahīh)
