English translation

5155. It was narrated from Talhah that 'Āishah said: "I said: 'O Messenger of Allāh, I have two neighbors; with which one should I begin?' He said: 'With the one whose door is closest to yours.'" (Sahih)

Arabic text

5155 - حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدُ بْنُ مُسَرْهَدٍ، وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، أَنَّ الْحَارِثَ بْنَ عُبَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَهُمْ عَنْ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيِّ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا، قَالَتْ: قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ: إِنَّ لِي جَارَيْنِ بِأَيِّهِمَا أَبْدَأُ، قَالَ: «بِأَدْنَاهُمَا بَابًا» قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ: «قَالَ شُعْبَةُ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ طَلْحَةُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ»
