5236. This was narrated (with another chain) from Al-A'mash. He said: "The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ passed by me while we were repairing a hut of ours that was about to fall down. He said: 'What is this?' We said: 'A hut of ours that is about to fall down, and we are fixing it.' The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: 'I think the matter is too short for that.'" (Ṣaḥīḥ)
5236 - حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَهَنَّادٌ الْمَعْنَى، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، بِإِسْنَادِهِ بِهَذَا، قَالَ: مَرَّ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَنَحْنُ نُعَالِجُ خُصًّا لَنَا وَهَى، فَقَالَ: «مَا هَذَا؟» فَقُلْنَا: خُصٌّ لَنَا وَهَى فَنَحْنُ نُصْلِحُهُ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَا أَرَى الْأَمْرَ إِلَّا أَعْجَلَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ»
