Text and translation

English translation

5260. It was narrated from 'Abdur-Rahmān bin Abī Lailā, from his father that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ was asked about snakes that live in houses. He said: "If you see any of them in your houses, say: 'I adjure you by the covenant that Nūh made with you, and I adjure you by the covenant that Sulaimān made with you, not to harm us.' Then if they come back, kill them." (Da'if)
