English translation

555. Uthmān bin Affān narrated that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: “Whoever prays Ishā’ in congregation, it is as if he has stood half the night (in prayer), and whoever prays Ishā’ and Fajr in congregation, it is as if he has stood the whole night (in prayer).” (Sahih)

555 - حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي سَهْلٍ يَعْنِي عُثْمَانَ بْنَ حَكِيمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ صَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ فِي جَمَاعَةٍ كَانَ كَقِيَامِ نِصْفِ لَيْلَةٍ، وَمَنْ صَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ وَالْفَجْرَ فِي جَمَاعَةٍ كَانَ كَقِيَامِ لَيْلَةٍ»
