English translation

729. It was reported from Waki', from Sharik, from 'Ašim bin Kulaib, from 'Alqamah bin Wā'il, from Wā'il bin Hujr, who said: "I went to the Prophet ﷺ during the winter (season), and I saw his Companions raising their hands from under their clothes during the prayer." (Sahih)

729 - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْأَنْبَارِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ شَرِيكٍ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ وَائِلٍ، عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ، قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الشِّتَاءِ فَرَأَيْتُ أَصْحَابَهُ «يَرْفَعُونَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ فِي ثِيَابِهِمْ فِي الصَّلَاةِ»
