English translation
792. It was reported from Sulaiman, from Abū Ṣāliḥ, from one of the Prophet's ﷺ Companions that he asked a person: "What (supplication) do you say in the prayer?" The man replied: "I say the Tashah-hud, then say: 'Allāhumma innī as'aluka-jannah, wa a'ūdhu bika minan-nār' (O Allāh, I ask you for Paradise, and seek Your refuge from the Fire). Indeed, I am not capable of your mumblings nor the mumblings of Mu'ādḥ!" So the Prophet ﷺ responded: "Around this (meaning) we mumble!" (Da'if)
