English translation

800. (There is another chain similar to no. 798) from 'Abdullāh bin Abī Qatādah, from his father who said: "So we presumed that he (ﷺ) intended by this that the people catch the first Rak'ah." (Sāḥih)

Arabic text

800 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: فَظَنَنَّا أَنَّهُ يُرِيدُ بِذَلِكَ أَنْ يُدْرِكَ النَّاسُ الرَّكْعَةَ الْأُولَى
