English translation

814. ‘Amr bin Shu‘aib narrated from his father, from his grandfather, that he said: “There is no Sūrah from the Muṣṣal, small or large, except that I have heard the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) leading the people with it in an obligatory prayer.” (Da‘īf)

Arabic text

814 - حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ السَّرْخَسِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ إِسْحَاقَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «مَا مِنْ الْمُفَصَّلِ سُورَةٌ صَغِيرَةٌ وَلَا كَبِيرَةٌ، إِلَّا وَقَدْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَؤُمُّ النَّاسَ بِهَا فِي الصَّلَاةِ الْمَكْتُوبَةِ»
