Text and translation

English translation

949. Zaid bin Arqam narrated: "We used to speak to the person next to us during the prayer, (until) Allāh revealed: And stand (in prayer) to Allāh, devoutly obedient.[1] So we were commanded to remain quiet, and prohibited from speaking." (Ṣaḥīḥ)
