English translation

103. Abū Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: "When one of you wakes up at night, let him not put his hand into the container until he washes it three times, for he does not know where his hand spent the night.” (Sahih)

Arabic text

103 - حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي رَزِينٍ، وَأَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا قَامَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ، فَلَا يَغْمِسْ يَدَهُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ»،
