English translation

1086. Sahl bin Sa'd reported: "We used to take our afternoon naps and eat our early meal after the Friday prayer." (Sahih)

Arabic text

1086 - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، قَالَ: «كُنَّا نَقِيلُ وَنَتَغَدَّى بَعْدَ الْجُمُعَةِ»

Commentary

We learn from the foregoing Aḥādīth that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to be finished with the Friday prayer early.
