Text and translation

English translation

1293. It was reported from ‘Urwah bin Az-Zubair, from ‘Āishah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, that she said: “The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ never prayed the Duhā prayer, and I pray it. And he (ﷺ) would sometimes leave an act, even though he loved to do it, for fear that the people might perform it and it would then become obligatory upon them.” (Sahih)
