English translation

148. Al-Mustawrid bin Shaddād reported: "I saw the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ, whenever he performed Wudū, rub the toes of his feet with his little finger." (Hasan) [1] It is a type of Burd that has some red in it and designs, and they say that its name is derived from the cloth of Qīṭr in Al-Baḥrāin.

Commentary

We learn from this Hadith that one should pass the little finger through the toes of both feet to make sure that no spot remains dry or unwashed.
