Text and translation

English translation

1481. It was reported from Faḍālah bin 'Ubaid, the Companion of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ, that he said: "The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ heard a person supplicating in his prayer without having praised Allāh, nor having sent Salāt upon the Prophet ﷺ. So the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: 'This man has been hasty.' Then he called him, and said to him, or to another person, 'When one of you supplicates, let him begin by praising Allāh and glorifying Him, then let him send Salāt upon the Prophet ﷺ, then let him supplicate with whatever he wishes.” (Hasan)
