English translation
1573. (Another chain) from Abū Ishāq, from ‘Āšim bin ǧamrah and Al-Ĥārith Al-Aʿwar, from ‘Ali, from the Prophet ﷺ. In part of the beginning of this Hadīth he said: “...So if you have two-hundred Dirhams, and a year passes, then five Dirhams are due upon it. And nothing is due upon you — meaning with regards to gold — until you have twenty Dinārs. So if you have twenty Dinārs, and a year passes, then half a Dinār is due upon it. And if you have more, then it will be proportional to that...” He (one of the narrators) said: "I do not know if 'Alī is the one who said: 'Then it will be proportional to that' or did he attribute it to the Prophet ﷺ." (He then continued) "And there is no Zakāt on money until one year passes." — except that Jarīr (a narrator) said: "Ibn Wahb added in his Hadīth, from the Prophet ﷺ: "And there is no Zakāt on money until one year passes." (Da'if)
