English translation

1576. Mu‘adh bin Jabal reported that when the Prophet ﷺ sent him to Yemen, he commanded him to take from every thirty cows a cow or bull that had completed one year, and from every forty (cows), a male or female Musinnah. And he also commanded him to take one Dinār from everyone beyond the age of puberty, or its equivalent from Ma‘afir — a type of cloth found in Yemen. (Ḍa‘if)
