English translation

1588. It was reported from 'Abdur-Raḥmān bin Jābir bin 'Atīq, from his father that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: "A group of riders who are hated will come to you. So when they come to you, then welcome them, and leave them with what they want (leave them to take your charity). If they are just, then it will be for their own (benefit), and if they are unjust, then it will be against them. And please them, for the perfection of your Zakāt is in their pleasure, and let them make supplication for you." (Da'if) Abū Dāwūd said: Abū Al-Ghuṣn (one of the narrators) is Thābit bin Qais Ibn Ghuṣn.
