Text and translation

English translation

1730. Ibn 'Abbās narrated: "They would perform Hajj, but not take any provisions (for the journey) — Abū Mas'ūd (one of the narrators) said: "people from Yemen, or some people from Yemen" — and they would say: 'We are those who rely (upon Allāh).' At this, Allāh, the Mighty and Sublime, revealed: And take provisions (for the journey), but the best provision is Taqwā."[1] (Sahih)
