English translation

1766. 'Arafah bin Al-Ḥārith Al-Kindī[1] narrated: "I witnessed, during the Farewell Pilgrimage, the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ being brought a sacrificial camel. He said: 'Call Abūl-Ḥasan for me,' so 'Alī was called for. He told him: 'Hold on to the lower part of the spear,' while he held on to the top part of it. He then thrust it into the camel. After he had finished (the sacrifice), he sat upon his mule and placed 'Alī with him." (Da'if)
