English translation
1847. Abū Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: "Five (animals) are permissible to kill in the Sacred Area (Al-Haram): Snakes, scorpions, kites, mice, and rabid dogs." (Hasan)

1847 - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ بَحْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَجْلَانَ، عَنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " خَمْسٌ قَتْلُهُنَّ حَلَالٌ فِي الْحُرُمِ: الْحَيَّةُ، وَالْعَقْرَبُ، وَالْحِدَأَةُ، وَالْفَأْرَةُ، وَالْكَلْبُ الْعَقُورُ "
