English translation
2080. It was reported from Sa'eed bin Al-Musayyab, from Abū Hurairah, that the Messenger of Allāh ﷻ said: "Let not any person give a proposal of marriage after the proposal of his brother." (Saḥīh)

2080 - حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ السَّرْحِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا يَخْطُبُ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى خِطْبَةِ أَخِيهِ»
