2144. It was reported from Sa'eed bin Ḥakīm bin Mu'āwiyah, from his father, from his grandfather, Mu'āwiyah Al-Qushairī, who said: "I went to the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ and said: 'What do you say regarding our women?' He replied: 'Give them to eat from what you eat, and clothe them with what you wear, and do not beat them, nor disgrace them.'" (Ḍa'if)
2144 - أَخْبَرَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْمُهَلَّبِيُّ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رَزِينٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ الْوَرَّاقِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ حَكِيمِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْقُشَيْرِيِّ، قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: فَقُلْتُ: مَا تَقُولُ: فِي نِسَائِنَا قَالَ: «أَطْعِمُوهُنَّ مِمَّا تَأْكُلُونَ، وَاكْسُوهُنَّ مِمَّا تَكْتَسُونَ، وَلَا تَضْرِبُوهُنَّ، وَلَا تُقَبِّحُوهُنَّ»
