English translation

216. Abū Hurairah narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "If he (the man) settles between her four limbs, and the circumcised part touches the circumcised part, Ghusl has become obligatory." (Saḥih)

Arabic text

216 - حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْفَرَاهِيدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، وَشُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: «إِذَا قَعَدَ بَيْنَ شُعَبِهَا الْأَرْبَعِ، وَأَلْزَقَ الْخِتَانَ بِالْخِتَانِ فَقَدْ وَجَبَ الْغُسْلُ»

Commentary

This is the view of the majority of the scholars, not withstanding what is reported by some, that the ruling in the Hadith: "Water is only (necessary) for water" was later abrogated by narrations similar to this.
