2367. It was reported from Thawbān, from the Prophet ﷺ that he said: "The one who cups, and the one who is cupped, have broken their fast.” In his narration, Shaibān (one of the narrators) said: “Abū Qilābah informed me that Abū Asmā’ Ar-Raḥābī informed him, that Thawbān, the freed slave of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ, informed him that he heard it from the Prophet ﷺ. (Sahīh)
2367 - حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ، جَمِيعًا عَنْ يَحْيَى، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي أَسْمَاءَ يَعْنِي الرَّحَبِيَّ، عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «أَفْطَرَ الْحَاجِمُ وَالْمَحْجُومُ»، قَالَ شَيْبَانُ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو قِلَابَةَ، أَنَّ أَبَا أَسْمَاءَ الرَّحَبِيَّ، حَدَّثَهُ، أَنَّ ثَوْبَانَ، مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَخْبَرَهُ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،
