2370. It was reported from Ibn Juraij, who said: "Makhūl informed me that a Shaikh from Al-Hayy — in his narration 'Uthmān (one of the narrators) said: (who is truthful) — informed him: 'Thawbān, the freed slave of the Prophet ﷺ, informed him that the Prophet of Allāh ﷺ said: "The one who cups and the one who gets is cupped have broken their fast." (Sahih)
2370 - حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي مَكْحُولٌ، أَنَّ شَيْخًا مِنَ الْحَيِّ قَالَ عُثْمَانُ: فِي حَدِيثِهِ مُصَدَّقٌ، أَخْبَرَهُ، أَنَّ ثَوْبَانَ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «أَفْطَرَ الْحَاجِمُ وَالْمَحْجُومُ»
