English translation

2451. Hafṣah said: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ used to fast three days every month; Monday and Thursday, and Monday of the following week. (Hasan)

Arabic text

2451 - حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ بَهْدَلَةَ، عَنْ سَوَاءٍ الْخُزَاعِيِّ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ قَالَتْ: «كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصُومُ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسَ، وَالِاثْنَيْنِ مِنَ الْجُمْعَةِ الْأُخْرَى»
