2817. It was reported from Yazīd An-Naḥwī, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbās, who said: The Verse "So eat of that upon which Allāh's Name has been mentioned"[1] and the Verse "Eat not of that upon which Allāh's Name has not been mentioned"[2] were abrogated, and an exception was granted for that, so He said: The food of the people of the Book is lawful to you, and yours is lawful to them."[3] (Hasan)
2817 - حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ النَّحْوِيِّ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: " {فَكُلُوا مِمَّا ذُكِرَ اسْمُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ} [الأنعام: 118]، {وَلَا تَأْكُلُوا مِمَّا لَمْ يُذْكَرِ اسْمُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ} [الأنعام: 121]، فَنُسِخَ وَاسْتَثْنَى مِنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ: {وَطَعَامُ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ حِلٌّ لَكُمْ وَطَعَامُكُمْ حِلٌّ لَهُمْ} [المائدة: 5] "
