2954. It was reported from Jābir bin ‘Abdullāh who said: “The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ used to say: ‘I am more worthy of every believer than himself, so whoever leaves any wealth behind, it is for his family, and whoever leaves a debt or dependant behind, then it is upon me and to my responsibility.”[1] وَعَلَىٰ”. (Sahih)
2954 - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «أَنَا أَوْلَى بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ مِن أَنْفُسِهِمْ، مَنْ تَرَكَ مَالًا فَلِأَهْلِهِ، وَمَنْ تَرَكَ دَيْنًا أَوْ ضَيَاعًا فَإِلَيَّ وَعَلَيَّ»
