English translation
2955. Abū Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: “Whoever leaves behind wealth, then it is for his heirs, and whoever leaves a burden behind, then it is to be referred to us.” (Sahih)

2955 - حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ تَرَكَ مَالًا فَلِوَرَثَتِهِ، وَمَنْ تَرَكَ كَلًّا فَإِلَيْنَا»
