English translation

304. Fātimah bint Abī Ḥubaish narrated that she used to suffer from Istihādah. So the Prophet ﷺ told her, “When you have menstrual blood, then that is dark blood, easily recognizable [by its characteristics]. So when that occurs, stop praying, and when the other [blood] comes, perform Wudu' and pray.”[1] (Da'if) Abū Dāwūd said: Ibn Al-Muthanna said: "And Ibn Abī 'Adī narrated it to us from memory, so he said: 'From 'Urwah from 'Āishah, from Fātimah.'" Abū Dāwūd said: Al-'Alā' bin Al-Musayyab and Shu'bah reported it from Al-Ḥakam, from Abū Ja'far. Al-'Alā' said: "From the Prophet ﷺ," while Shu'bah narrated as a Mawquf narration of Abū Ja'far: "She performs Wudū' for every prayer."

304 - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ يَعْنِي بْنَ عَمْرٍو، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ أَبِي حُبَيْشٍ، أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ تُسْتَحَاضُ فَقَالَ لَهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا كَانَ دَمُ الْحَيْضِ فَإِنَّهُ دَمٌ أَسْوَدُ يُعْرَفُ، فَإِذَا كَانَ ذَلِكَ فَأَمْسِكِي عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ، فَإِذَا كَانَ الْآخَرُ، فَتَوَضَّئِي وَصَلِّي» قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ: قَالَ ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، وَحَدَّثَنَا بِهِ ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ حِفْظًا، فَقَالَ: عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ فَاطِمَةَ قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ: وَرُوِيَ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، وَشُعْبَةَ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ: الْعَلَاءُ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَأَوْقَفَهُ شُعْبَةُ عَلَى أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ «تَوَضَّأُ لِكُلِّ صَلَاةٍ»
