English translation

3147. (Another chain) from Muhammad bin Sirīn that he learned how to wash the deceased from Umm 'Atīyah. He washed with lotus leaves twice, and the third time with water and camphor. (Da'if)

3147 - حَدَّثَنَا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَأْخُذُ الْغُسْلَ، عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ، «يَغْسِلُ بِالسِّدْرِ مَرَّتَيْنِ، وَالثَّالِثَةَ بِالْمَاءِ وَالْكَافُورِ»
