English translation

3163. It was narrated that 'Āishah said: "I saw the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ kissing 'Uthmān bin Maz'ūn when he had died, and I saw his tears flowing." (Da'if)

Arabic text

3163 - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: «رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُقَبِّلُ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ مَظْعُونٍ وَهُوَ مَيِّتٌ، حَتَّى رَأَيْتُ الدُّمُوعَ تَسِيلُ»
