3218. It was narrated that Abū Hayyāj Al-Asādī said: “‘Ali sent me (on a mission) and said to me: ‘I am sending you on the same mission as the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ sent me: “Do not leave any raised grave without leveling it, or any image without obliterating it.”’ (Sahīh)
3218 - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَبِيبُ بْنُ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هَيَّاجٍ الْأَسَدِيِّ، قَالَ: بَعَثَنِي عَلِيٌّ، قَالَ لِي: أَبْعَثُكَ عَلَى مَا بَعَثَنِي عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أَنْ لَا أَدَعَ قَبْرًا مُشْرِفًا إِلَّا سَوَّيْتُهُ، وَلَا تِمْثَالًا إِلَّا طَمَسْتُهُ»
