English translation

3281. It was narrated that Umayyah bin Khālid said: “When Khālid Al-Qasrī was appointed governor, he doubled the Sā’, so the Sā’ became sixteen Raṭl.” (Hasan) Abū Dāwud said: Muḥammad bin Muḥammad bin Khallād was killed by the Zanj in captivity. He gestured like this with his hand, and Abū Dāwud extended his hand, and placed his palms on the ground. He said: I saw him in a dream and said: “What did Allāh do with you?” He said: “He admitted me to Paradise.” I said: “Then the captivity did not harm you.”[2]
