3354. It was narrated from Hammād, from Simāk bin Harb, from Sa'eed bin Jubair, from Ibn 'Umar, who said: "I used to sell camels at Al-Baqī'; I would price them in Dinars but accept Dirham, or I would price them in Dirham but accept Dinars, so I would accept this instead of that and I would pay this instead of that. I came to the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ when he was in Ḥafṣah's house and said: 'O Messenger of Allāh, do you have a moment? I want to ask you: I sell camels in Al-Baqī'; I price them in Dinars but accept Dirham, or I price them in Dirham but accept Dinars, so I accept this instead of that and I pay this instead of that.' The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: 'There is nothing wrong with taking it based on the price that day, so long as you do not separate with something still outstanding.'" (Hasan)
