English translation

3422. It was narrated from Ibn Muḥayyisah from his father that he asked the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ for permission to charge a fee for cupping, and he told him not to do that. He kept asking him and seeking permission until he told him to feed his watering camel and his slave with it. (Sahīh)

Arabic text

3422 - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ مُحَيِّصَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ اسْتَأْذَنَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي إِجَارَةِ الْحَجَّامِ «فَنَهَاهُ عَنْهَا فَلَمْ يَزَلْ يَسْأَلُهُ وَيَسْتَأْذِنُهُ، حَتَّى أَمَرَهُ أَنْ أَعْلِفْهُ نَاضِحَكَ وَرَقِيقَكَ»
