English translation

3456. It was narrated from 'Amr bin Shu'āib, from his father, from 'Abdullāh bin 'Amr bin Al-Ās, that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: "The two parties to a transaction have the choice so long as they have not separated, except for a transaction in which it is stipulated that they have the choice, and it is not permissible for one to leave his companion for fear that he may ask for it to be cancelled." 3456 - حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «الْمُتَبَايِعَانِ بِالْخِيَارِ مَا لَمْ يَفْتَرِقَا، إِلَّا أَنْ تَكُونَ صَفْقَةَ خِيَارٍ، وَلَا يَحِلُّ لَهُ أَنْ يُفَارِقَ صَاحِبَهُ خَشْيَةَ أَنْ يَسْتَقِيلَهُ»
