English translation
352. 'Aishah said: "People used to work for themselves, and would come back to the Friday prayers in the same state (as they would be in their work). So it was said to them: 'If only you were to perform Ghusl.'" (Ṣaḥīḥ)

352 - حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: كَانَ النَّاسُ مُهَّانَ أَنْفُسِهِمْ، فَيَرُوحُونَ إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ بِهَيْئَتِهِمْ، فَقِيلَ لَهُمْ: «لَوِ اغْتَسَلْتُمْ»
