English translation

3587. Mu’ādh bin Mu’ādh said: “Abū ‘Uthmān Ash-Shāmī informed me – and I do not think I have seen any Shāmī better than him.” Meaning Ḥarīz bin ‘Uthmān. (Saḥīh)

Arabic text

3587 - حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ الضَّبِّيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو عُثْمَانَ الشَّامِيُّ: «وَلَا إِخَالُنِي رَأَيْتُ شَأْمِيًّا أَفْضَلَ مِنْهُ يَعْنِي حُرَيْزَ بْنَ عُثْمَانَ»
