3618. A similar report (as no. 3617) was narrated from Sa'eed bin Abī 'Arūbah with the chain of Ibn Minhāl. He said: "Concerning an animal, and they had no proof, so the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ ordered them to draw lots to decide who would swear the oath." (Sahih)
3618 - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، بِإِسْنَادِ ابْنِ مِنْهَالٍ، مِثْلَهُ قَالَ: فِي دَابَّةٍ، وَلَيْسَ لَهُمَا بَيِّنَةٌ فَأَمَرَهُمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَسْتَهِمَا عَلَى الْيَمِينِ
