English translation

4058. It was narrated from Anas bin Mālik that he saw Umm Kulthūm, the daughter of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ, wearing a Sirā' Burd. He said: "As-Sīrā' is a fabric with stripes of silk."[1]

Arabic text

4058 - حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، وَكَثِيرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْحِمْصِيَّانِ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ، عَنِ الزُّبَيْدِيِّ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ " رَأَى عَلَى أُمِّ كُلْثُومٍ بِنْتِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: بُرْدًا سِيَرَاءَ قَالَ: وَالسِّيَرَاءُ الْمُضَلَّعُ بِالْقَزِّ "
