4119. It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: "The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ granted a concession to the Mothers of the Believers, allowing them to lengthen their hems by a hand-span, then they asked for more, so he added another hand-span. They used to ask us (for garments) and we would measure an extra forearm's length for them." (Da'if)
4119 - حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، أَخْبَرَنِي زَيْدٌ الْعَمِّيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي الصِّدِّيقِ النَّاجِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: «رَخَّصَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِأُمَّهَاتِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فِي الذَّيْلِ شِبْرًا، ثُمَّ اسْتَزَدْنَهُ، فَزَادَهُنَّ شِبْرًا، فَكُنَّ يُرْسِلْنَ إِلَيْنَا فَنَذْرَعُ لَهُنَّ ذِرَاعًا»
