English translation

426. It was reported from Al-Qāsim bin Ghannām, from some of his elder women-folk, from Umm Farwah, who said: "The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ was asked: 'Which actions are the best?' He said: 'Prayer at its earliest time.'" (Saḥīh) Abū Dāwūd said: In his narration, Al-Khuẓā'ī (one of the narrators) said: "From a paternal aunt of his who was called Umm Farwah, who had given her oath of allegiance to the Prophet ﷺ - that the Prophet ﷺ was asked...."

426 - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْخُزَاعِيُّ، وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ غَنَّامٍ، عَنْ بَعْضِ أُمَّهَاتِهِ، عَنْ أُمِّ فَرْوَةَ، قَالَتْ: سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَيُّ الْأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ: «الصَّلَاةُ فِي أَوَّلِ وَقْتِهَا»، قَالَ: الْخُزَاعِيُّ فِي حَدِيثِهِ: عَنْ عَمَّةٍ لَهُ يُقَالُ لَهَا أُمُّ فَرْوَةَ قَدْ بَايَعَتِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ
