English translation

4345. It was narrated from Mughīrah bin Ziyād Al-Mawṣilī, from ‘Adiyy bin ‘Adiyy, from Al-Urs bin ‘Amīrah Al-Kindī that the Prophet ﷺ said: “If sin is committed on earth, the one who sees it and hates it – or denounces it – is like one who was absent from it, and the one who is absent from it but approves of it is like one who sees it.” (Da‘if)

4345 - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُغِيرَةُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ الْمُوصِلِيُّ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ، عَنِ الْعُرْسِ ابْنِ عَمِيرَةَ الْكِنْدِيِّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِذَا عُمِلَتِ الْخَطِيئَةُ فِي الْأَرْضِ، كَانَ مَنْ شَهِدَهَا فَكَرِهَهَا - وَقَالَ مَرَّةً: «أَنْكَرَهَا» - كَانَ كَمَنْ غَابَ عَنْهَا، وَمَنْ غَابَ عَنْهَا فَرَضِيَهَا، كَانَ كَمَنْ شَهِدَهَا "
